Privacy Policy

Custom Cutz Barbershop operates two shops in Ontario:

For any privacy question, request or concern, email customcutzbarbershop@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy", or call either shop.

Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:

• Booking information — your name, contact details, appointment times and service choices when you book. Online bookings are handled by our booking provider, Setmore, under its own privacy policy.
• Service information — notes needed to provide your service, such as style preferences or hair unit fitting details.
• Contact and enquiry information — what you send us by email or phone, including course enquiries and quote requests.
• Job application information — your experience, portfolio and preferred location if you apply to work with us.
• Technical information — like most websites, our hosting, security and error-diagnostic systems automatically receive standard request data (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) to keep the site running and fix problems. Loading fonts and map embeds also sends standard request data to those providers.

We use this information to provide and manage appointments and services, answer enquiries, process applications, and operate and secure the website.

Booking an appointment is not consent to marketing. We only send promotional messages where we have valid consent, and every marketing message includes a way to unsubscribe.

Photos or videos of clients — including before-and-after results — are used only with separate permission. For anyone under 18, we ask a parent or guardian. If a photo of you appears on our website or social channels and you would like it removed, contact us at customcutzbarbershop@gmail.com and we will review the request.

No first-party analytics or advertising tags are configured on this website. Google Maps loads only when you choose "Load Google Map" on a location panel, and Google may then process data and use cookies under its own privacy policy. Google Fonts receives standard request data when fonts load.

Some storage and logging is essential to run the site — for example, server logs and security records kept by our hosting provider. External sites we link to — including Setmore (booking), LearnWorlds (online course), Amazon (book) and our social media profiles — have their own cookies and privacy policies.

If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy and put appropriate, working consent controls in place before those tools are activated.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we handle, and access to personal information is restricted to people who need it for their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use service providers to operate our business — for example website hosting, booking (Setmore), online course delivery (LearnWorlds) and email. These providers may process personal information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

The homepage weather forecast is requested through our server from MET Norway using fixed Pickering or Whitby coordinates and our website identification. We do not request your GPS location or forward your IP address or browser details to MET Norway. Selecting a shop requests its forecast from our website; this weather feature adds no tracking tags or cookies.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above or to meet legal and business obligations, and then delete or anonymize it.

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information, and you may withdraw consent where our processing is based on consent — subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep). Contact us at customcutzbarbershop@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy".

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
